Have you ever heard the term ‘Improv’? Short for improvisation, Improv is live theatre, where the plot, dialogue and characters are made up on the spot. Fun and exciting, Improv builds creativity & teamwork and gets better with practice. Want to cast spells like Harry Potter? Visit far-away worlds
through space? Explore and play in the real world? With Improv, anything is possible! Learn the magic from wizarding world veteran Curtis Shipley (of the ‘Unplotted Potter’ ensemble). Build your imagination, increase your confidence and have a lot of fun! Curtis’ skill-building classes provide
engaging exercises and games, exploring voice, emotion and physicality – the whole package. This workshop will build to a public performance Sunday Dec 15th 2019.

Advanced Improv with Curtis Shipley

This workshop will take your creative performance skills and stretch them via Improv with Curtis Shipley (of the ‘Unplotted Potter’ ensemble) to craft them into scenes, based on stories you love. Build your spontaneity, ensemble work, increase your acting skills and confidence and have a lot of fun! Curtis’ classes provide engaging exercises and games, exploring voice, emotion and physicality – the whole package. Newcomers welcome! This workshop will build to a public performance Sunday Dec 15th 2019.

Curtis Shipley has been a performer and entertainer for many years, from theatre, stand-up comedy, immersive and interactive theatre and games, to quiz nights and custom birthday parties. His main passion is improv, which he performs professionally as well as running workshops at schools and for community groups. Curtis was part of the recent SA Theatresports Cup for schools and is a teacher and mentor at the local improv company On the Fly.

Come & Try options available for all classes, 10% discount for a second child and 15% for third child in a family. Payment plans available.

Step into this new adaptation of a well-known folk tale with an eco-twist by Gillian Britton, learning catchy tunes, developing your acting skills while creating a fun music-theatre performance. Scheduled for the Fringe Feb-March 2020, with a work-in-progress performance at the end of Term Four 2019 (2pm Sun 15th December), this show has opportunities for performers of all ages!


Ink Pot Arts’ Artistic Director Jo-anne Sarre is committed to innovative projects with great tales to tell and this is no exception! Joined by Musical Director Gillian Britton, this engaging team will lead the performers to bring this unique show to audiences in the Fringe 2020.
